My name is Rhea Mathew. I like to sing, dance and design and recently graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with MA Design (Graphics)
Within design, I enjoy exploring visual representation to address complex, often unintelligible topics, transforming them into clear and impactful designs.
My work reflects a diverse and creative approach to design, encompassing a range of works that include portrait art—spanning digital paintings, vector graphics, and block art—that showcase mastery of various styles and techniques. It also features engaging storybooks and illustrative designs, complemented by captivating book covers. Socially impactful illustrations address pressing social issues with purpose and creativity, while brand and marketing design projects include reimagined brand identities, vibrant social media post designs, and striking posters that enhance communication and engagement.
The speculative projects which I did during my Master's have further honed my conceptual and creative skills, with highlights including an award-winning exploration of financial systems (FOM Awards 2024) and a thought-provoking newspaper project on intersectionality, utilising experimental layouts to spark dialogue. Together, these works demonstrate a blend of technical skill, conceptual depth, and innovative thinking that I bring to every design endeavour.
